1st Tennis Lesson – 16 months

Today was Tate’s first Tennis Lesson. You can see more pics by clicking above. John started teaching Mommy/Daddy and me tennis classes on Saturdays for 2-3 year olds. Luckily Tate was approved by the instructor to start a tad early

We headed down to La Jolla with our good friends Lisa, Scott and Ian. What a fun filled weekend! We went to the model train museum, ran around the fountain in Balboa Park, dinner at Alfonsos, breakfast with Shamu and an evening at the Yacht Club. We waited until after school was in session to beat the crowds and it worked. Weather was beautiful and crowds were energy producing but not overwhelming.

I do not think we could be any more lucky! John Gramins got us 5th row seats for the US OPEN! They were incredible seats and Tate made it on the big screen. The minute we sat down (in the completley quiet stadium) with a 16 month old, all eyes were on us including a giant camera that was focused on us for a good 10 minutes. Guess they dont see itty bitty tennis fans that often!!! Thank you John for the fabulous seats – so so wonderful! John was in absolute heaven!
Gracie and Tate William in the Hamptons
In August we made a trip to visit the Gramins Family in the Hamptons. We had a wonderful time catching up with old friends, swimming in the pool, going to the beach and playing tennis in the backyard. The favorite though would have to be the morning dance partys with Teddy, Gracie and Tate. Ashley had made a summer sound track of some rockin top 40 and 70’s tunes. Teddy, Gracie and Tate shared some really amazing dance moves and we tried to follow along. Tate even picked up some special super powers from the local yellow jackets! (this story will have to be told in person). Thank you Gramins Family for hosting us in your lovely home!
p.s. this might embarrass Tate (so don’t mention it to him) but I think he met his first love – sweet Gracie – he couldn’t take his eyes off of her!
