Happy 1st Birthday BABYZOOM!!!

Tate had so much fun at his 1st birthday party (Jay called it a BABY RAGER!). We built a race track in front of our house for all of Tate’s buddys and their vehicles (push carts, cars, tricycles, etc). Tate had a blast – I got dizzy walking around and around the track with him. I finally gave up and he kept going. He was just fine greeting guests on his own, helping push other kids and just plain enjoying himself.

The pinata was fun too but Tate wasnt too happy when his loved red pinata was split apart. awwww…We made up for it by giving him a red velvet cupcake and singing Happy Birthday. He ate his entire cake (no suprise since he is is fathers son – we have fabulous pics to share) It was a great day and Tate was ready for it – he certainly knew it was  his Birthday.

Lucky us – the Easter Bunny made a visit to our house very early Easter Morning and hid many many Easter Eggs. We quickly called some friends and family to come over for an Easter Egg Hunt in the Garden. It was so much fun! Here are some fun pic from the day (thanks Lisa for taking the pics!)

Where is Tate?

Tate pulled down his curtains and was having a great time watching his Daddy and I in the front yard from his crib. You can see him looking through the window.
TODAY WAS A BIG DAY – TATE TOOK HIS FIRST STEPS! We cheered and cheered – the first time he did it he fell flat on his face, then came the silence and I waited for the big tears, but no…much to my suprise he laughed and laughed, I think because he knew that he had just done it! His first big boy steps. He then practiced and practiced and loved every minute of it – he got up to 4 steps. GoTate Go!

What a big kid! This was taken just outside of Tate’s bedroom door by Jenny of Red Loft Studios. He was just 6.5 months then and now he is 7.5 months! His is officially mobile now. He was up on all fours at the beginning of December but now can really crawl. It was fun to watch him try to put it all together by lifting one arm or knee off of the ground at a time. We are now scrambling to baby proof before the walking starts. eeek!

BYOB Brunch – Mav, Lisa and Lisa

Mav, Lisa & Lisa

I had a group of my girfriends with new babies over over for brunch to celebrate my birthday and all the fun little people stuff that had happened in the last year. What a better way to celebrate than to get together with a bunch of best buddies and their babies! We had some good weekday mimosa Mom bonding!

I spent my labor day making a little adirondack chair for Tate. We can now enjoy a little glass of lemonade together on our porch as a family. Check out little Olivia trying to get in the photograph through the window.

Tate’s House

Tate’s House

Here is our darling ittybitty house. Such a happy little house! We bought it in JUly of 2005 with hopes of a little baby to live in the front bedroom. Yippee! We found out after we purchased it that the last two owners had baby boys in this home. Funny huh? I guess they each lived in the front bedroom.  It is a 1922 Craftsman home and has been kept up beautifully. We made many changes since we have purchased it – thanks to my Dad. We put him right to work, hanging lights, building cabinets, adding molding. It is looking great…

Our roses are looking beautiful. Lots of thanks to the amazing Victor Lang. At the beginning of the summer he replanted our front yard and it is looking fabulous. It was my birthday present from John’s Mom and Dad. Lucky me!
